We are pleased to announce that Elcock Associates have been instructed as bank monitoring surveyor and contract administrator for a new block of flats in the centre of Bournemouth. These starter homes will be ideal for local people and others who commute to London/Southampton and other areas due to the close proximity of the rail station.

Elcock Associates have been appointed today to provide Contract Administration, Project Management, Party Wall and Quantity Surveying Services on a new build luxury home in Canford Cliffs Poole. The property will be designed to a high standard, to include renewable and low zero carbon technologies, insulated concrete form work walls and other modern design techniques. The company strives to embrace the latest building techniques and works with designers and contractors to ensure the finished property is unique and goes past the clients expectations.

The contract has now been awarded for a prestige new home in Canford Cliffs, Poole. This 5000ft house will be among the most sustainable, energy efficient new property in the area. Its design by David James architects is first class and we are looking forward to project managing this build. To date we have tendered the project, written the JCT contracts, undertaken contractor interviews and finalised the employers requirements. As employers agent and project managers we will ensure that this is a home to be proud of.

Demolition starts today on another exciting project in Bingham Avenue Canford Cliffs, 1 new 4500 ft2 house, with pool and exceptional design. Full building surveys of historic and interesting properties appears to be on the rise. We have recently surveyed many old buildings built with modern methods and more traditional methods such as cobb, flint and brick walling. One particular wall on an inspection was 7ft thick! We use our experience and knowledge of older properties to provide comprehensive and informative reports to aid in the purchase of your property. We cover all of Dorset and Hampshire where many old traditional farm buildings with thatched roofs and solid walls are present on the former estates.

Instructed this week to build a 4000 ft 2 new England house in the heart of Canford Cliffs overlooking Parkstone golf course. Another interesting project for the portfolio, services include CDM Coordinator, Project management and employers agent. Tenders to be issued shortly, expected to start on site within 8 weeks.

New build detached house in Banks Road Sandbanks is commencing well, first floors have been laid and blockwork will continue ready to take second floor shortly. Project management of this site is key to maintaining the client brief and achieving set completion date.

New build project in Bingham Avenue, near Canford Cliffs in Poole is progressing to the next stage. The tender report has been issued and the next stage will be contractor interviews and final selection of contractor. A very interesting project with a fantastic design by David James Architects ensures this to be a very unique property for the portfolio.

Busy week in the office, all manner of projects in different stages to keep us busy. Currently we are undertaking CDM Coordinator duties, Project Managments, Party Wall Surveyors, Contract Administrators, writing JCT Contracts, undertaking mortgage valuations for the lenders, dilapidations and various survey works producing building surveys and homebuyer reports. Our workload sees us in Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Southampton, Dorchester, Blandford, Winchester and London.

Elcock Associates have been appointed as Party Wall surveyors on a large and complicated site in Bournemouth. This historic building, with multiple occupiers and adjoining owners, promises to be very interesting.

Another sucessful party wall service has been completed. Elcock Associates were appointed as the ‘Agreed Surveyor’ for 2 adjoining owners living adjacent to a property having piled foundations to support a rear extension.

Our pragmatic approach has enabled minimal disruption, reasonable fees and satisfied owners all round.

Elcock Associates are pleased that works are progressing well at one of the largest new build sites in Dorset. The 2 new homes will undoubtedly be amongst the most beautiful in the area and raise the bar for exclusive homes. We are proud to be project managing the project and offering quantity surveying services. Later in the year these will be entered for various awards and stand a very good chance of winning due to their individual designs and low impact on the environment using sustainable and renewable technologies.

Recent RICS Surveys show an increase in demand within the property sector for professional surveying services. Elcock Associates has seen this increase and is pleased to report new and exciting projects on the horizon taking us into 2012.
