Here at Elcock Associates, whilst Christchurch is our home, we offer our services along the South Coast, throughout Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Berkshire and up to London.
Who are we?
Adam Elcock – Director, RICS Registered Valuer and Building Surveyor.
Adam left school at 16 and joined the British Army, serving with a number of specialist units, where he traveled extensively around the world in an operational and training capacity. After 8 years he decided that a change of career was in order and left to pursue a new path.
With a number of specialties to hand and with high level security clearance he gained a role within the MOD in a junior surveying capacity working his way up the ladder whilst also attending a distance learning course at the College of Estate Management at Reading University. In 2007 Elcock Associates Ltd was created and has steadily grown since.
Adam has memberships to a number of professional bodies including the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Chartered Institute of Building (COIB) and the Building Research Establishment (BRE). He also specialises in Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Party Wall, Expert Witness and Project Management.
Adam is married with four children and enjoys the outdoor life of running and mountain climbing, being a qualified mountain leader. Adam also arranges regular expeditions to remote regions undertaking cross country motorbiking, having previously cross the jungle of Costa Rica, and Sahara in Africa.
Charlotte Tatham – Senior Building Surveyor, Bsc (Hons), HND Building Surveying
Charlotte joined the company direct from Kingston University and impressed us from the start with her knowledge of the construction industry and general surveying duties as well as her willingness to learn and embrace all areas of the industry.
Charlotte’s areas of expertise are Contract Administration, CDM Co-ordination, Party Wall and Building Surveying and is actively project managing many new builds in the local area and upto London. Charlotte was recently promoted to Senior Surveyor in recognition of her hard work.
Robert Nabney – Building Surveyor, Bsc (Hons)
Robert has a first class honors degree in Building Surveying and specialises in planning, autocad, dilapidation’s and building surveying. Roberts focus is very much on the technical side of the business and enjoys working with 3D models and BIM. This focus allows the company to produce daylight reports, detailed Building Regulation and planning drawings and ensures our presentation is first class .
Robert has three children and enjoys an active life outside of work.
Maria Farnum – PA to Directors
Maria organises the day to day diaries of the directors and deals with the accounting side of the practice.
Claire Elcock – Office Manager
Claire manages general office duties on a daily basis and keeps the company running smoothly.
